Some builds take your shop completely out of its wheel house. Its a way to grow your knowledge, learn new things and apply skills to new style of project. That is exactly what happened here. When the owner contacted us about building this car, I knew we would be carving a new path. This car is being built for the Optima Street Car Challenge, as seen on tv. With LS power, Bowler transmission, Wilwood brakes, and a custom fabricated, floater style 9" Ford, the components are on point. We attached a Detroit Speed front stub to our own custom frame and cage. The transmission sits on slides to ease clutch service and access. This car sits on the ground! I look forward to performing the test drive on this one.
